Have you ever just sat around your house, job, or in your car and suddenly felt this overwhelming feeling of appreciation? Guess what, that's a form of gratitude. According to different dictionaries, gratitude is simply being thankful or readiness to show appreciation for something.
Throughout life I have experienced so many different things, whether they were good or bad, I learned to express gratitude. In doing so, I have changed my way of thinking. I no longer experience the desire, nor do I rarely experience negative self-talk. Gratitude alone has made me into the positive person I am today. Just being grateful for the waking up every morning, or for the traffic on the highway while driving to work has helped me change my mindset. Just think, what if there wasn't any traffic and I'd gotten a car accident? However, the traffic saved my life and for that I am grateful.
Try to express a little gratitude today in different arears of your life and see how much better you begin to feel. Do not over think the essence of gratitude, start with something small. I can start, I am truly grateful for the opportunity to blog because it allows me to pour into others and it forces me to constantly educate myself. I am also grateful for you and all of your experiences because we can learn and grow together. The Bible says in Matthew 18:20 (NKJV), " For when two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of the." So let's continue to express gratitude in all areas of ours lives and see what a blessing this will be.
